According to the latest rankings released by United World Wrestling (UWW), two Iranian national team wrestlers have secured places among the world’s top athletes in 2025, reaffirming Iran’s strong presence on the global wrestling stage.

In this list, Rahman Amouzad leads the 65kg freestyle category, while Saeid Esmaili tops the 67kg Greco-Roman division, placing Iran among the elite nations in world wrestling.

In freestyle wrestling, athletes from countries such as North Korea, Russia, Japan, Slovakia, Bahrain, and the United States hold the top positions across different weight classes, highlighting the highly competitive and international nature of the sport. Amouzad’s first-place ranking in the 65kg category stands out as a key achievement for Iran.
