Telephone Conversation Between the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia on Regional Developments

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, held a telephone conversation on Sunday afternoon to discuss bilateral relations as well as key regional and international developments.

According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, During the call, the two sides reviewed the growing relations between Tehran and Riyadh and emphasized the importance of continued political consultations and enhanced bilateral cooperation in support of shared interests and regional stability.

Referring to developments in southern Yemen, Iran’s foreign minister stressed the need to preserve the country’s unity and territorial integrity and underscored the importance of implementing a political roadmap to achieve lasting peace. He also condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks against Lebanon, highlighting the responsibility of the international community—particularly the guarantors of the ceasefire—to halt these actions and prevent further violations against the Lebanese people.

For his part, the Saudi foreign minister emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue and cooperation among regional countries to safeguard peace and stability. He also stressed the need to hold the Israeli regime accountable for its actions and underlined the role of regional cooperation in de-escalating tensions.

The telephone call took place within the framework of ongoing consultations between the two countries, aimed at strengthening regional security and stability.
