According to Khabaronline, In a statement, the Venezuelan government condemned the interventionist stance of U.S. President Donald Trump toward Iran.
The statement, published on the Telegram channel of Venezuela’s Foreign Minister Yván Gil, reads as follows:
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on Saturday expressed its deep concern over the recent confrontational narratives put forward by the government of the United States of America against the brotherly country of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In this context, Venezuela declares its firm solidarity with the people and government of Iran and calls for an end to interventionist positions that jeopardize regional stability.
We believe that the use of threatening language departs from the fundamental principles of the Charter of the United Nations. Such statements pose a danger to international peace and make solutions based on mutual respect more difficult.
Venezuela views with concern the attempts to destabilize Iran through the use of digital platforms to incite internal conflict— a technique characteristic of fifth-generation warfare. This situation is exacerbated by the impact of unilateral coercive sanctions aimed at suffocating the economy, forming part of an external pressure strategy that violates the sovereignty and social peace of this brotherly nation.
The Bolivarian government, faithful to its peace-oriented mission, reiterates that the only path toward lasting stability is dialogue and diplomacy free from foreign interference. We call on the international community to promote spaces for understanding in which Iran’s inalienable right to resolve its internal affairs within a legal framework, and its right to self-determination, are fully respected.
