According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, Maral Tarkman, the 23-year-old player for Esteghlal and Iran’s women’s national futsal team, has been nominated for Best Young Female Player in the World. She will compete against Carolina Pedreira from Portugal, Jasmine Demrawi from Morocco, Greta Gilardi from Italy, Aria Sae-tooen from Thailand, Merlyn Salcedo from Colombia, and Rikako Yamakawa from Japan.
In the Best Women’s Club Coach category, Parisa Emamizadeh, head coach of Palayesh Naft Abadan, has also been nominated. To win, she will need to outperform Barbara Abot from Argentina, Izabeli Bebel from Brazil, Julia Domenichetti from Italy, Nimit Duangyos from Thailand, Juan Linares from Spain, Nicolas Basualdo from Argentina, and Masao Yunkawa from Japan.
Earlier, Iran had already secured nominations in several men’s categories: the men’s national futsal team for Best Men’s National Team, Vahid Shamsaei for Best Men’s National Coach, Bagher Mohammadi for Best Men’s Goalkeeper, and Hossein Tayebi for Best Men’s Player.
