According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, Shiekh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and UAE Foreign Minister, held a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi on Tuesday evening, December 13, discussing regional and international developments and bilateral relations.
In the call, Araghchi, referring to recent unrest in Iran—triggered by terrorist elements backed by the Zionist regime and the United States to disrupt peaceful public protests—stated that calm has been restored through the vigilance of the people and security forces.
Referring again to provocative remarks by U.S. officials, which are seen as overt interference in Iran’s internal affairs, Araghchi reiterated the Iranian people’s resolve to defend national sovereignty and national security against any foreign plots or interference.
The UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister also highlighted the importance of continuous coordination between Iran, the UAE, and regional countries, stressing the need for joint efforts to strengthen regional stability and security.
