Iran and Saudi Arabia Discuss Regional Stability in Phone Call

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi and Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan held a phone conversation to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, Both ministers emphasized their commitment to strengthening ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia across all areas of mutual interest.

Araghchi explained the recent events in Iran over the past two weeks—initially peaceful economic and social protests that were later infiltrated by organized terrorist elements linked to the Zionist regime, escalating into violence. He stressed the importance of global condemnation of foreign interference in the internal affairs of regional countries.

He affirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran, backed by national support and awareness, will firmly defend its sovereignty against any external threats.

Araghchi also condemned provocative and interventionist statements by U.S. officials, highlighting the responsibility of all regional countries to safeguard stability and security against destabilizing actions, including the expansionist policies of the Zionist regime.

Saudi Foreign Minister bin Farhan expressed concern over the current regional situation and its consequences, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic channels and regional cooperation in maintaining peace and security.

Both sides stressed the need for continued dialogue and joint efforts to preserve peace and stability in the region.
