Moscow–Tehran Call Focuses on Iran’s Nuclear Program

Russia’s Foreign Ministry announced that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, to discuss Iran’s nuclear program and related developments, in what is seen as part of ongoing diplomatic engagement on the issue.

According to KhabarOnline, According to the ministry’s statement, Lavrov reiterated Moscow’s support for negotiations concerning Tehran’s nuclear program and stressed the importance of pursuing fair, dialogue-based solutions to address existing challenges.

The Russian side also underscored the importance of continuing diplomatic efforts and maintaining communication channels to help advance talks — a position consistent with Moscow’s stated approach toward Iran’s nuclear file.

The call comes amid increased diplomatic activity surrounding Iran’s nuclear program at both regional and international levels, with various actors emphasizing the need to reach a sustainable solution through dialogue and mutual understanding.
