According to Khabaronline, After Steve Witkoff, the U.S. President’s Special Representative, spoke about Donald Trump’s curiosity regarding why Iranians have not surrendered despite the military equipment deployed around Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, posted an image of the Iranian flag on Sunday evening and addressed Trump directly, writing: “Are you curious to know why we do not surrender? Because we are ‘Iranian.’”
Steve Witkoff, the U.S. President’s Special Representative for West Asia, said in an interview with Fox News that Donald Trump finds it surprising that, despite military equipment positioned near Iran, the Islamic Republic has not been willing to surrender.
Referring to Iran’s reaction to U.S. military deployments in West Asia, Witkoff stated: “The President asked me about this this morning. I wouldn’t say he’s disappointed — rather, I would say that given the many options available to him, this situation raises questions for him. He is curious to know why they (Iran) have not surrendered under such pressure.”
