Foreign Ministers of Iran and Kazakhstan, in a meeting in Moscow on Tuesday, pledged to do their best to pave the ground for the promotion of Tehran-Astana ties in all domains.

During the meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Kazakh counterpart Yerlan Edrisov on the sidelines of the ongoing foreign ministerial meeting of the Caspian Sea littoral states, the two top diplomats explored new avenues for consolidating mutual cooperation between the two friendly nations.

They further exchanged views over certain regional issues, including those related to the Caspian Sea.

Tehran has been after the expansion of cooperation and interactions with its neighbors, specially the Central Asia, in the recent decades.
