Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif pays a visit to Kabul on Sunday at the invistation of his Afghan counterpart Salahuddin Rabbani.

Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Bahram Qasemi announced here on Saturday that Zarif is scheduled to meet Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive of that country Abdullah Abdullah.

Different aspects of Tehran-Kabul relations and the ways to promote the current level of bilateral ties as well as the latest international and regional developments are among the issues to be discussed during Zarif’s visit to Kabul, Qasemi noted.

Zarif recently took a trip to Pakistan.

His day-long visit to Pakistan took place on May 3 during which Zarif met top Pakistani officials on the recent terrorist attack near Iran-Paksitan border which resulted in martyrdom of some Iranian border guards.
