Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif reacted to possible announcement of President Donald Trump's decision on moving US embassy to Al Quds on Wednesday, saying that the holy city will remain Arab-Islamic forever.

'Like it or not, Al Quds will remain Arab-Islamic forever,' Zarif wrote in Arabic on his Twitter account on Wednesday ahead of the possible announcement.

Despite extensive objections, the US president is expected to announce his decision on recognizing Al Quds as the capital of the Zionist regime of Israel by moving the embassy of the US from Tel Aviv to the holy city.

The US Congress approved the decision in 1995. But previous administrations of the US have refrained from implementing the bill.

Trump vowed in his presidential campaign that he would implement the bill.
