Iranian lawmakers approved here on Wednesday the outline of a bill seeking to amend the anti-forex and goods smuggling law.

With 137 votes in favor, 43 against and eight abstentions, the parliamentarians at the Majlis (Parliament) open session this morning approved the outline of the bill on reforming the anti-smuggling law.

Commenting on the bill, Chairman of the Majlis Economic Commission Mohammad Reza Pourebrahimi said that the bill had been compiled as a result of interactions between various government institutes and the Parliament Economic Commission.
