Emir of Dubai promises to solve Iranian citizens, foundations' problems

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Emir of Dubai, in a meeting with Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani promised to solve the problems of the Iranian citizens and institutions in Dubai.

Shamkhani arrived in UAE on Thursday afternoon at an official invitation. Upon his arrival is Dubai, Shamkhani met several UAE officials, the Prime Minister of the UAE and Emir of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

During the meeting with Dubai ruler, Shamkhani emphasized the need to expedite the process of implementing the previously reached agreements to get rid of the obstacles in the way of bilateral cooperation.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran is seriously after strengthening continuous and constructive cooperation with its neighbors, and has put forth a combination of its capacities to reach that end," he reiterated.

He said that the region is in need of peace, stability and security, while mistrust among the regional countries is a serious obstacle in the way of achieving those objectives and harms the process of regional development and strong economy.

"We need to interact and cooperate comprehensively, which will result in regional nations' security, wellbeing, and progress for sure," he added.

Shamkhani said that the United Arab Emirates, and the Dubai Sheikhdom are among the major economic players in regional economic developments, and in 13th government of Iran, development of broader relations with all neighbors is prioritized.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for his part, congratulated Shamkhani for the recently reached Iran-Saudi agreement and restoration of full diplomatic and political relations, saying, "My country will use all its capacities to facilitate the implementation of that agreement."

Emir of Dubai also expressed delight over the important visit of Shamkhani to the UAE, adding, "Improvement of bilateral and strategic relations with Iran has always been of great importance for the United Arab Emirates."

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also promised to resolve the problems faced by some Iranian citizens and institutions based in Dubai, saying, "We will do all our best to solve those problems, too."

He also assured Shamkhani that the UAE will not permit others to disturb UAE-Iran bilateral relations.

"Experience shows that the aliens' efforts are focused on disturbing our bilateral ties with Iran, and the only winners of disputes among the regional countries are the enemies of the reginal nations, which is why we will not permit any third country sow the seed of discord, or use UAE soil against Iran," Emir of Dubai said.
