Supreme Leader: Muslim world should focus on helping Palestinians

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the Muslim world should focus on helping and strengthening the Palestinian resistance fighters.

During a meeting with a group of Iranian officials and people as well as ambassadors of Islamic countries in Tehran on Saturday, Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the issue of Palestine as one of the most fundamental issues of the Islamic world.

“Today, the strategy of the Islamic world should be focused on helping and strengthening the fighters inside Palestine,” he said.

Pointing to the “gradual decline” of the Zionist regime and its decreased deterrent power, the Supreme Leader said, "This decline, which started a few years ago, has now accelerated. The Islamic world must make use of this great opportunity."

This “important progress”, according to Ayatollah Khamenei, has been achieved thanks to the resistance of the Palestinian nation and youth.

The Supreme Leader also said that unity is an essential need of the Islamic Ummah (community).

He said the holy month of Ramadan can bring the hearts of Muslims closer to one another, calling on the officials of Islamic countries to make use of this opportunity to establish unity within the Muslim world and to reduce and resolve the differences.
