Defying unilateralism common policy of Iran, Nicaragua: Amirabdollahian

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian says defying unilateralism is the common policy of Iran and Nicaragua.

In a tweet hours after President Ebrahim Raisi arrived in the Nicaraguan capital Managua on Wednesday, Amirabdollahian said that the two countries’ have shared policies when it comes to decisions in international organizations.

“Negation of unilateralism is the common point in the politics of the two countries,” he wrote, adding that capitalizing on the potentials that exist in Latin America is part of Raisi's administration’s balanced foreign policy.

Heading a high-ranking delegation, President Raisi arrived in Managua on Tuesday evening local time to begin the second leg of his tour of three friendly Latin American countries.

The Iranian president arrived in Venezuela on Monday to meet with top Venezuelan officials, including President Nicolas Maduro.

He is also scheduled to visit Cuba, where he will conclude his Latin America tour late this week.
