Iran FM: Formation of joint Hamas-Islamic Jihad room wise resistance move

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has referred to the formation of a joint room of Hamas and Islamic Jihad in a recent Zionist invasion of Gaza, hailing the move as a wise resistance movement.

The foreign minister, who is on a visit to Lebanon, made the remarks in a trilateral meeting with Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement's Secretary General Ziad Nakhaleh and Hamas deputy political chief Saleh al-Arouri in Beirut on Friday.

Amirabdollahian stressed that providing support for the Palestinian issue and resistance and fights for liberation of Palestine are an unchangeable policy and the essence of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He also underlined the need for unity among all the Palestinian groups to realize the full rights of the Palestinian nation and to form a unified Palestinian state throughout Palestine with the Holy Quds as its capital.

The Palestinian resistance leaders, in the meantime, once again appreciated Iran’s support for the Palestinian cause.

They stressed the determination of the Palestinian people and resistance to continue with their fight against the Zionist regime to fully defeat it and ensure the fulfilment of the rights of the Palestinian nation.
