Iranian, Singaporean FMs stress need for expanding economic relations

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan have called for the expansion of economic ties.

Amirabdollahian and Balakrishnan held talks on Wednesday evening local time on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

During the meeting, both sides expressed a tendency to expand cooperation in the areas of trade and economy.

Amirabdollahian referred to the rich potential of Iran’s economic sector and ports as well as the significant stance of the Singaporean economy stressing the need for leveraging economic opportunities.
