Nawshirwan Mustafa Amin, the leader of Iraqi Kurdistan oposition party Goran (change) arrived in Tehran on Friday.

Mustafa, born in 1944 in the city of Sulaymaniyah in Iraqi Kurdistan, began his political activities in 1970. Then, in 1976, he cofounded Iraqi Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), with Jalal Talabani. He is always remembered as the second person of Iraqi PUK.

Mustafa’s visit to Iran is due to an official invitation of Iran’s Ambassador to Iraq, Hassan Danayeefar.

There are reports that the opposition leader will discuss Kurdistan Region and Iraq’s latest political situations among them withdrawing confidence vote from Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki with Tehran officials.
Maliki withdrawal is something that was long sought by his rivals but seems a fail attempt signatures for voting him out of office were not sufficient enough to make president Jalal Talabani to send withdrawing confidence letter to parliament and Sadr Movement announced it on longer backs the initiative.

Meanwhile, talking about Barzani's resent stances would be on schedule.
