At a special ceremony held to honor Iranian government retirees, President Ahmadinejad stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is currently coping with two major problems: “The first one is temporary. The enemy is struggling in vain to impose new limitations on the Iranian nation but God willing we will resolve this problem and the enemies will become disgraced. They don't know that the Iranian nation rapidly eliminates such difficulties.”
On the second problem he said: “The second problem which is not temporary is that when we want to pay people, some elementsin the country begin a noisy quarrel. They are mobilized in different places to prevent the government of paying people while the revenue and soil of Iran belongs to people.”
“It's four years that we have prosecuted those who received very large loans from the Iranian banks. Actually 80 percent of these loans were paid to less than 10 to 12 percent of economic activists. When we asked them to repay the loans, we were attacked from various fronts.”
Replying to Ahmadinejad’s claims, ‘Jomhouri-e Eslami’ adds:
On the two problems referred to by Mr. Ahmadinejad, it must be pointed out that when the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) were passed against Iran, Mr. Ahmadinejad called them “scraps of paper”. He even said: “let them pass resolution against us up until the timethey are exhausted!”
[Gold and Dollar price rise in Iranian marketwhich began from early 2012has questionedthe governmental practice although the head of Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Mahmoud Bahmani had claimed that in terms of foreign currency deposit, Iran is so rich and able to confront the economic sanctions imposed by the West on the pretext of its nuclear program.]
The Principlist newspaper adds:
The other reality is that Mr. Ahmadinejad is still trotting out his old cliché, “they don't let me to do this and that…” as an excuse for the inefficiencies of the government. By adopting such an approach he has always put the blame on others….
The President has constantly spoken on unidentified persons who don't let his government to work! He also talks about a long black list in his pocket threatening that if it's pulled out of his pocket it would have an appalling consequence, although up until this time he has not pulled out that list from his blessed pocket!
We are sure that during 8 months to the end of his presidential term or even after that, Mr. President will reiterate the same words. When the members of the Iranian Majlis(Parliament) propose to question the President, he responds that he will disclose new secrets.
When the issue of financial abuses of the top government officials is raised, rumors are spread that there are cases that if the president uncovers some figures will be agitated. The interesting point in the midst is that the biggest misappropriations of public funds during the history of the Islamic Republic ofIran took place in the governments of Mr. Ahmadinejad, although he claims the ninth and tenthgovernments headed by himare the most impeccable administration's in the Iranian history!
As a matter of fact, by recourse to such devices, Mr. Ahmadinejad cannot deny the efficiencies of his government which both received the most powerful supports and gained the most oil revenues in the history of Iran.
‘Jomhouri-e Eslami’ is an official Iranian Principlistnewspaper, which was founded in 1979 as the newspaper of Islamic Republic Party. However even after the closure of Islamic Republic Party, the newspaper continued to be published.
