Deputy Head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran Kioumars Fathollah Kermanshahi said on Wednesday that the volume of Iran's foreign trade has exceeded USD73 billion despite the illegal US-engineered sanctions.
“Of this amount, 42 billion dollars was the import volume, which showed 8-percent fall compared to the same period last year,” He said.
The official stated that Iran's non-petroleum exports have undergone a 28-percent growth in the first three months of the current Iranian year “despite restrictions” against the country.
Kermanshahi noted that Trade Promotion Organization of Iran support non-petroleum exports, which are essential to the country’s economic growth.
The Islamic Republic’s non-oil exports mainly include condensate, mineral fuels, chemical products, plastic products, fruits, nuts, carpets and fertilizers.
