Iran is planning to take part in the 33rd Borsa International Tourism Exchange (BIT) in Italy to introduce Persian culture and national heritage.

A number of Iranian companies and tourism agencies are to present their programs and achievements in the year’s Italian exhibition that is scheduled to be held in Milan from February 14 to17, 2013.

Iran has been taking part in the BIT for several years as one of the main participants of the event’s Middle Eastern section.

Iran has introduced its tourism industry in several international fairs so far such as the 2012 edition of international tourism trade fair of Madrid (FITUR) where the Iranian pavilion was warmly received.

“We plan to participate in more international tourism fairs to introduce Iran’s capacities and potentials in tourism industry and to be acquainted with the latest achievements and programs in this arena,” said deputy head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHTO) for Tourism Affairs Manouchehr Jahanian.

Iran is slated to take part in series of exhibitions that will be held in March including Internationale Tourismus-Borse Berlin (ITB Berlin), Tourism Fair of The Member States of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Moscow International Exhibition Travel and Tourism (MITT) in Russia, he added.

This year’s FIERA MILANO will present diverse range of products and services and introduce innovative techniques and products for the tourism sector.
