An Iranian deputy foreign minister underlined the necessity for removing all obstacles to the implementation of the recently sealed nuclear deal between Iran and the six major world powers.

In a Saturday interview in Hague, in the Netherlands, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Seyed Abbas Araqchi said Tehran and the Group 5+1 (the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) must not lose the opportunity, created after the Geneva deal, to resolve the nuclear issue.

Araqchi, who is also a member of Iran's nuclear negotiating team, said that there are dark forces like the Zionist regime of Israel and certain groups in the US that want to obstruct the nuclear process but we must try to ensure logic wins.

The Iranian official said Iran and the Sextet are try to achieve a positive result in the talks based on logic, despite efforts made by Tel Aviv and some forces in the United States to undermine the Geneva deal.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu harshly criticized the interim nuclear deal reached by Iran and world powers in Geneva last month.

On November 24, Iran and the five permanent United Nations Security Council members sealed a six-month accord to lay the groundwork for the full resolution of the West’s decade-old dispute with Iran over its nuclear energy program.

In exchange for Tehran’s confidence-building bid to limit certain aspects of its nuclear activities, the Sextet of world powers agreed to lift some of the existing sanctions against Tehran.
