Iran FM: General Soleimani was expert in modern diplomacy

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian underlined that anti-terror commander Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was highly expert in minute details of modern diplomacy and in negotiations observed both the Islamic and the diplomatic norms.

Elaborating on the services of Martyr Soleimani at the diplomatic scene in a televised interview, Amirabdollahian further reiterated that in addition to his expertise in the battlefields and at various scenes of campaign against terrorists, during the years of the sacred defense against the invading Iraqi Army of Saddam wherever it was necessary to negotiate he was the most competent and as a commander, too, he safeguarded the Islamic Republic of Iran's maximum security.

“It can be said that Lieutenant General Soleimani's one hand was on the trigger of his weapon and his other hand held a pen writing his exalted thoughts at the service of pushing forth the negotiations at the service of the pursuing the objectives of the battlefields,” he added.

The foreign minister said that although Lieutenant General Soleimani did not have any direct responsibility in the nuclear talks, but the political sciences and the international relations are interrelated issue, which means his moves at the battlefield cannot be viewed separate from the country’s nuclear power.

“These two are in a way parts of a parcel. I have many times said that if both yesterday and today the other sides of Iran are ready to sit and negotiate with us, it is because of the background we have at battlefields, the major national achievements, our scientific and technological might, and our capital of popularity among our nation who always defend the Islamic Republic of Iran,” said Amirabdollahian.

The top diplomat also referred to the system’s great achievements in the defense industries and the peaceful nuclear technology as Iran’s great winning cards.
