Afghanistan arrests 15 seditionists in front of Iran embassy in Kabul: Local media

Forces of the Afghan ruling government have arrested 15 people gathering in front of the Iranian embassy in Kabul, according to Afghan media.

Tolo News said that 15 people aimed to initiate a gathering in front of the Iranian embassy when the Taliban forces immediately stepped in and arrested them.

The arrest took place after a Monday gathering in front of the Iranian embassy in Kabul and the country’s consulate in Herat.

Shortly afterwards Iran said that the Afghan ruling government is responsible for ensuring the security of the Iranian missions in the country.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Tuesday complained about the Afghan government’s failure to protect the Iranian embassy in Kabul and the country’s diplomatic missions in other Afghan cities.

The foreign minister however said that both Iran and Afghanistan has to be vigilant against the plots hatched by common enemies.
