In Ankara, Amirabdollahian is scheduled to meet with Turkish officials in order to hold talks on important international, regional and bilateral issues.
Before departing Tehran for Ankara on Tuesday morning, the foreign minister told reporters that he was to visit both Moscow and Ankara, but his trip to Russia would take place with delay due to some regional developments.
Amirabdollahian’s visit to Turkiye comes just days after he toured Lebanon and Syria for key regional talks.
