Iran president meets Ayatollah Khamenei before leaving for New York

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has met with Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei before departing for New York to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting on Sunday, Raisi presented a report on his travel plans, and Ayatollah Khamenei offered necessary recommendations and wished success for the president.

President Raisi is scheduled to address the General Assembly in the afternoon of September 19, New York time.

The time difference between Tehran and New York is seven and a half hours.

The Iranian president is also expected to give speeches to various gatherings in New York City and speak with members of the Iranian diaspora in the United States.
