IRGC Spokesman: Israel Suffered a “Definitive Defeat” in the 12-Day War

The spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that Israel suffered a “definitive defeat” in the recent 12-day conflict and warned that any new hostile action would be met with a “stronger response” from Iran.

According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, Ali-Mohammad Naeini, the IRGC’s spokesman and deputy for public relations, said in a televised interview that Iran’s armed forces are at “the highest level of tactical and military readiness,” adding: “The recent battlefield was a measure of capabilities, and the enemy’s weaknesses became fully exposed.”

He claimed that, based on “statements by Israeli political and military officials and analyses from American think tanks,” the conflict demonstrated a decline in Israel’s deterrence. According to Naeini, “Operation Al-Aqsa Storm destroyed the Israeli regime’s security reputation, and only 13 percent of residents in the occupied territories consider the regime successful in achieving its goals.”

Naeini stressed that Israel “has neither a new objective nor the capability to repeat its past mistakes,” warning: “Any new act of aggression by the enemy will be met with a more severe response.”

The IRGC spokesman also highlighted the role of Iran’s Basij organization during the conflict, saying it “moved swiftly into action and strengthened the country’s social, cultural, and security resilience.”

He added that Israel’s defeat and the Basij’s expanded presence “led to increased public trust and reinforced the organization’s position within Iran’s security structure.”
