Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani declared that the joint parliamentary commission of Iran and Russia will be formed with the aim of enhancing the two countries cooperation.

The news was announced on Monday in a press conference following a meeting with the chirman of Russia's State Duma Viaceslav Volodin.

Larijani said that the parliamentary cooperation is aimed at boosting trade and political cooperation, as well as durable security and fighting narcotics.

He also said that important economic projects have been discussed by the two countries to elevate the bilateral relations.

The Russian State Duma speaker said that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on forming the joint parliamentary commission means reaching an unprecedented level of relations with Iran.

The commission will be assigned with implementation of the projects that the two countries have already signed.
