Russian and Turkish presidents met in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Friday afternoon.

During the meeting, the Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed issues of mutual interest.

Earlier, both Putin and Erdogan met with the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and discussed latest regional and international developments, in particular, the Syria crisis.

The bilateral meetings occurred on the sidelines of a summit of Iranian, Russian and Turkish presidents on Syria.

Russian and Turkish presidents arrived in Iran on Tuesday afternoon to attend a trilateral meeting with Iranian president to discuss the Syria crisis.

Rouhani, Putin and Erdogan are to attend a meeting on Friday evening for exchange of views on fighting terrorism and establishing security in Syria.
