The Islamic Republic of Iran sets no limits to the expansion of cooperation with the neighboring and friendly country, Tajikistan, said President Ahmadinejad in a meeting with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rakhmon in Dushanbe .
He lauded the “growing” economic, cultural and political cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan, and stressed the importance of establishing oil, gas and water transfer lines soon.
The Iranian chief executive also urged the construction of a railway connecting Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
Rakhmon, for his part, said economic cooperation between Tehran and Dushanbe has a very promising prospect.
He expressed Tajikistan’s willingness to promote cooperation with Iran to meet the country’s oil and gas needs via Tehran.
