Amirabdollahian made the comment during a joint press conference with his Lebanese counterpart Abdallah Rashid Bouhabib in Beirut where he is on an official visit at the head of a high-ranking political delegation.
Briefing reporters, the top Iranian diplomat said that discussions were held on Tehran-Beirut relations as well as regional and international developments, from the ongoing fighting in Sudan to the war in Ukraine and to a recent deal between Iran and Saudi Arabia to restore their diplomatic relations.
Amirabdollahian said that he had told his Lebanese counterpart that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to further expand economic, trade and tourism ties with Lebanon.
The Iranian foreign minister arrived in Beirut on Wednesday on the second leg of his regional tour that first took him to Oman.
