Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a speech on the occasion of the 34th demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini near Tehran, stating that certain figures are not only pioneers at their time, but also frontrunners of the human history; so, the number ones cannot be omitted from the historical memory or distorted; although, some media outlets attempt to propagate lies about late Imam, but it will not continue forever.
The revered Imam created giant transformations at Iranian, Islamic and global levels, the Supreme Leader said, adding that Imam Khomeini established the Islamic Revolution, as well as created Islamic awakening at the ummah level to promote Muslims to become vigilant and support the Palestinian cause.
According to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, hope motivated Imam Khomeini to go ahead with his resistance prior to and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
The 34th passing away anniversary of the founding father of the Islamic Republic of Iran is being held in the presence of numerous Iranian officials and people, as well as foreign diplomats, at the Imam Khomeini mausoleum near capital Tehran on Sunday.
