Iran's interior minister in Iraq to confer on Arbaeen pilgrims

Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi arrived in Baghdad to confer with his Iraqi counterpart on Arbaeen pilgrims.

Vahidi was welcomed by Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari on Tuesday at Baqdad Airport.

During his visit to Baqdad, Vahidi is to discuss the situation of Arbaeen pilgrims with his Iraqi counterpart.

Both sides will coordinate providing better services to Arbaeen pilgrims.

Arbaeen is a mourning ritual observed by Shia Muslims worldwide to mark the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), which falls on September 6 this year.
