The Managing Director of the National Iranian Petrochemical Organization (NIPO) says the Islamic Republic exports petrochemical products to more than 60 countries.

Abdolhossein Bayat said that many countries importing Iran's petrochemical products have called for long-term agreements with the country due to “the high quality and the reliable production” of Iranian products, IRNA reported.

He said that the European market has accounted for the biggest number of countries importing Iran's products, while India and China imported the highest volume of the Iranian petrochemical products.

According to the official, Iran exported $14 billion worth of petrochemical products in the previous Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 19, 2012.

Iran's petrochemical products mostly include ethylene, methanol, urea, polyethylene and polyolefin, Bayat said.
