The Iranian Foreign Ministry on Monday deplored the Zionist regime's attack on Gaza, and called on the international bodies and human rights organizations to prevent the regime's continued crimes against the oppressed Palestinian people.

The attacks of the Zionist regime's military men against Gaza which killed and injured tens of innocent people in besieged Palestinian territories show the regime's savage and aggressive nature, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said in a statement on Sunday night.

He rapped the Zionist regime for its continued aggression on the Gaza region, and asked the international bodies, specially the human rights organizations, to prevent the regime's crimes against the Palestinian people.

The statement came after Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Wednesday threatened to launch another offensive on the Gaza Strip.

"If we need a ground operation, there will be a ground operation. We will do whatever necessary to stop the wave," Barak said.

The Israeli defense minister said that the regime is not afraid of Qatari emir, Turkish prime minister and other leaders' visit to the Gaza Strip.

Gaza would be in tense conditions, Barak warned, adding that war against Palestinians is already underway.

The hostile remarks came after the Zionist regime intensified air strikes against the coastal area.

Three Palestinians were martyred and several others were injured following the fresh round of Zionist jets attacks against Gaza Strip.

Also one Palestinian was martyred and another one was wounded after Zionist fighters targeted a group of Palestinians in Eastern Rafah City.

Two members of Palestinian Al-Qassam Brigades were martyred in the wake of Zionist regime's air strikes Tuesday night in Beit Lahia, Northern Gaza Strip.
