Iran keeps relying on its indigenous capabilities and Economy of Resistance policy, and no one is capable to isolate the country economically, army deputy commander in coordination affairs said here on Monday.

Self-sufficiency in producing all military weapons inside the country has led to save foreign exchange, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on the sidelines of his visit to an exhibition in this Iranian capital.

Commenting on the US measures to isolate Iran economically, Sayyari said the country's Armed Forces play a main role in providing necessary supports for economy.

Economy will not prosper as long as there is no security in the country, the army official added reiterating that Iran’s armed forces would do all within their reach to help the government resist against sanctions and economic restrictions.

The US administration has been trying to force Asian and African states to decrease their oil imports from Iran to put more pressure on Tehran. This is while some countries including India, Japan and Turkey have so far resisted against US will.

The US mounted its anti-Iran measures shortly after Washington's unilateral withdrawal from the Iran Deal formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) which ended over a decade of nuclear dispute between Iran and Western countries.
