Jawad Qandil was appointed as Iraq's ambassador to Iran this summer. He replaced fomer Iraqi ambassador to Iran Rajah al-Musawi. Qandil has a history of membership in the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq.
He has also been the former ambassador of Iraq in the countries of Finland and South Africa.
New ambassador of Iraq in Tehran Saad Abdul Wahab Jawad Qandil in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday handed over a copy of his credentials to him.
