Zarif calls for OIC emergency meeting on New Zealand terror attack

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a telephone talk with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu as the rotating chairman of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) urged the entity to hold emergency meeting following deadly terror attack in New Zealand.

Condemning the incident in the country which killed 49 and people and wounded many others, Zarif also urged Muslim states to show proper reaction to the attack on mosques in New Zealand.

He said that given the deadly terror attack in the country as well as insult of the Israeli soldiers to Muslims’ mosque in the occupied lands, holding OIC urgent and emergency meeting at the level of leaders or foreign ministers is essential.
