Mousavi said the fact that Volodymyr Zelensky got majority of votes in the recent elections indicates high popular confidence towards this candidate.
He expressed the hope for these developments to lead in success and well-being of the Ukrainian people and leaders and maintaining sustainable peace in this country.
Mousavi also wished for promoting ties between Iran and Ukraine.
Ukraine national electoral commission declared Volodymyr Zelensky winner of the presidential elections with 73.15% of all the votes.
He was compositing against former president Petro Poroshenko who got 24% of the votes.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi congratulated Ukrainian people and president over successful presidential elections in that country.
