Palestinian resistance should not be minimized to one group: Gov't spox

Iranian Government Spokesman Ali Rabiei said that fighting against the Israeli regime is not a war between the regime and a specific Palestinian group, but it’s an admirable resistance by the Palestinian people against Israeli aggression.

“The Zionist regime is willing to promote Iranophobia, as it seeks to make the war [between the Israeli regime and Palestinians] look insignificant,” Rabiei responded in a press conference on Tuesday when he was asked about discussions raised about Iran’s arms assistance to Gaza.

He said that this fight is not a war between a specific Palestinian group and the Zionist regime, but it’s an admirable resistance by Palestinian people against shameless aggression of the Israeli regime.

The spokesman accused the Israeli media of trying to reduce ‘the issue of resistance of Palestinian nation and their spirit of freedom against the Zionist regime’ to one specific group and justify Israel’s annexing plans and apartheid.

Rabiei underlined that the Palestinian resistance has gone beyond the occupied lands to international arenas, adding that new people and groups have been entering the issue.

“Thus, no level of propaganda and fabrication of truth will be able to conceal the radiant truth the Zionist regime has faced a moral and strategic scandal, only because of repeated mistakes by its leaders and the untouchable will of the freedom-seeking people of Palestine to retain their rights in accordance with international documents and universal values,” Rabiei stated.

The Israeli regime has carried out hundreds of ground and airstrikes on the defenseless people of Palestine, especially in Gaza, killing over 200 people, mostly civilians, including many women and children.
