President: Iranian Exporters Officers in Sanctions War

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi hailed the domestic exporters and producers as the officers of the sanctions war, calling for efforts to remove obstacles to the rise in exports.

In a ceremony in Tehran on Saturday, Raisi said a 40% growth in exports last year and a 13% growth of non-oil exports in the current Iranian year show the determination of exporters and economic activists.

"The committees that work for the growth of exports and removing the obstacles facing exporters should pay more attention to the views and opinions of exporters,” the president added, according to his official website.

"This year, all our efforts should be in the direction of production growth, especially knowledge-based and technology-based production," Raisi stated.

Referring to the expansion of economic relations with regional countries, the president said, "We must revive Iran's share in the economic interactions of the region, including in the transit of goods, monetary and financial circulation and other economic fields."

Stating that the country's economic growth has made the enemy angry, he said, "The imposition of sanctions on Islamic Iran is all for the country not to grow, not to produce and export, not to be productive and to be a consumer."

"The enemy does not want the Iranian nation to have a say in the economy, production and export. The Iranian nation has decided to conquer the markets by supplying the best products. We have shown that we will not stop," the president underlined.

He described the producers and exporters as the officers and soldiers of bypassing and neutralizing the sanctions and said, "Today, when we talk to our enemies, we talk with the support of the people and farmers, artisans, engineers and activists in various production fields. They are angry with us. The enemy doesn't want you to have production. Yesterday, you needed barbed wire and they didn't give it to you, but today when in New York, in Samarkand and in many other places where the heads of the countries meet with me, one of their demands is to buy from Iran's military industries.

"When today in the military and nuclear industries, we have reached a point where we have something to say in the region and the world, it turns out that strong-willed people and young people have worked day and night in this field; This is a battlefield and the enemy does not want you to have the upper hand,” he noted.

Raisi emphasized the need to facilitate the export of goods and provide the country's foreign exchange resources from the income derived from it and said, "The export of goods and the return of the resulting currency should have a correct and transparent mechanism and everyone should complete this mechanism."
