Iran’s high council for human rights asks Navi Pillay to prepare a report on the role of those countries in equipping and arming of terrorist groups in Syria.

Referring to the sponsorship of the terrorist groups in Syria by some western and regional countries such as United States of America, Saudi Arabia and Qatar which have directly provoked increase of human rights violations in the country and has constituted crime against humanity, the letter has asked Pillay to probe the role of these countries in worsening the situation and inform the world community of its results.
The full text of the letter to H. E. Ms. Navanethem Pillay is as follows:

H. E. Ms. Navanethem Pillay,
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Geneva,

Your Excellency,
Please accept my greetings,
Expansion of acts of terrorism in Syria, by individuals who have named themselves as the free democrat army of Syria, has created a bloody tragic situation for the Muslim nation of the Syria.
Expressing its deep concern over the ongoing situation, the High Council for Human Rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran, once again, announces its position and it blames the present crisis and the increasing trend of terrorist and inhumane acts in Syria, on Western and regional countries who have been playing a leading role in degradation of violations, through their armament and financial support of terrorist groups in the country.

Excellency,
Daily trend of tragic events in Syria, reveals that the horrifying crimes, such as beheading, burning and massacre of innocent people, have been perpetrated, by elements under direct support of Western countries including the United States as well as certain regional countries, merely with the intention of attracting public opinion and exciting of world pity, aimed at provoking international organizations to issue orders of military expeditions to Syria.
The High Council for Human Rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran expresses its appreciations for Your Excellency’s good offices on monitoring the deplorable situation in Syria and examination of crimes perpetrated by the terrorist groups opposing President Bashar Assad’s Government, and requests that the subject of massacre of people by the groups to be seriously and more attentively included in the agenda of work of the United Nations human rights bodies, and obligate the countries, who consider themselves as advocates of human rights and fight against terrorism, to be accountable for the deplorable situation in Syria.

Excellency,
It is quite evident that certain Western countries, accompanied by their regional allies, have decided to change the Governance in Syria at any price and they do not pay the least attention to the bloody and inhumane consequences and aftermaths of their acts of overthrow, which have already demonstrated parts of its painful faces.
I would like to request Your Excellency to prepare a report on the role of those countries in equipping and arming of terrorist groups in Syria, which have directly provoked increase of human rights violations in the country and has constituted crime against humanity, and inform the world community of its results.
The High Council for Human Rights has constantly emphasized that the people of Syria legitimately deserve to have a peaceful and prosperous life under the shadow of security and an authoritative governance; and this goal shall not be realized unless all groups, parties, religious groups and ethnic groups participate in formation of the government and in the administration of the country.
Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration

Dr. Mohammad Javad Larijani
Secretary of Iran's High Council for Human Rights
