London`s Opera Holland Park is slated to hold an exhibition of works by a group of new and established Iranian artists in the British capital.

Train to Tehran will display a selection of paintings, photographs, sculptures and printmaking works by Abbas Afshar, Hojjat Amani, Fereydoun Ave, Melodi Hosseinzadeh, Shahram Karimi, Hossein Khosrojerdi, Shadi Mahsa, Kimia Rahgozar, Anahita Rezvani-Rad and Batoul Showqi.
The exhibition is part of a one-day event called Summer Celebration of Iranian Film Festival due to be held on August 11, 2012.

The art show will be followed by a Persian music concert, performed by pianist Iman Bashari who will be accompanied by Ali Torshizi on Tombak.

Visitors will also be able to see watch the award-winning Iranian film, Modest Reception, directed by Iranian actor and filmmaker Mani Haqiqi.

The feature-length production is the story of a rich couple who distribute plastic bags full of money in the Iranian provinces, a handout aimed purely at degradation.

The film has received numerous awards including the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) Award of the 2012 Berlin International Film Festival.

Modest Reception also won the Best Actress and Best Actor awards of the 12th Osian's Cinefan Film Festival for Taraneh Alidousti and Mani Haqiqi, respectively.
