An Expert on International Affairs says Morsi’s visit to Iran could lead to powerful troika which can affect fundamentally on the Nam operation globally.

Speaking to Khabar Online, Hassan Beheshtipour stated called the visit very important for some reasons, especially that Morsi is the first Egyptian revolutionary president who is going to visit Iran during the past four decades.
“As the former NAM rotating presidency, Morsi can make a powerful troika along side with Iran and the next rotating presidency of the movement, which can make a fundamental evolution in the operation and effectiveness of the Movement in global arena," Beheshtipour said.
“By proposing the formation of a committee grouping Egypt with key players Iran, Saudi Arabia and Turkey to try to find a settlement to the conflict in Syria, Morsi showed that he is well known how to use the capacities of the Nam summit in Tehran for resolving the regional conflicts,” referring to Morsi’s contact group he said, “of course we still should wait to see how Saudi Arabia and turkey will respond to this plan.”
Morsi made the proposal earlier this week on the sidelines of the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which was held on August 14-15 in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
“Anyhow the cooperation of Islamic Republic of Iran and new Egypt about Syrian crisis sound a new experiment in the region.” Former Alalam News Network director said.
“Meanwhile this constructive cooperation even could lead to quickly establish ties between Tehran and Cairo. Surely this outcome is very dependent on the results of Morsi’s meeting with Iran’s supreme leader.”
