Iran, Iraq top diplomats discuss regional developments

The two top diplomats of Iran and Iraq held a phone conversation on Tuesday to discuss the late developments in the region.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein also conferred on the bilateral relations between Tehran and Baghdad.

They emphasized the need for the further expansion of the bilateral ties between the two countries and pursuing the implementation of the agreements reached between them.

Amir-Abdollahian and Hussein also stressed the need for increasing consultations between the two neighboring states and strengthening cooperation in order to establish and stabilize security in the region.

Referring to the ongoing Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, the two sides called for increasing efforts and political movements to stop the genocide in Gaza and to send humanitarian aid quickly.
