Iran Army enjoys 90% self-sufficiency in defense equipment: Commander

Deputy Commander of Army for Coordination Affairs Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari has said that today Iran’s Army enjoys 90% self-sufficiency in defense equipment.

Rear Admiral Sayyari who was speaking on the sideline of the parade ceremony on the occasion of Iran's National Army Day on Tuesday, said that after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, especially after the Sacred Defense, big changes have been made in the military equipment so that it can be said that all these equipment that were displayed in today's army parade are indigenous and also have the modern technology.

Touching upon the self-sufficiency of Iran’s Army on 90% of the defense equipment, he underlined that of course, every year the army will have better condition in all fields than before; for example, up to four years ago there was no trace of drones in the army, but today the army has a lot of power in the area of drones, and soon people will hear other news about drones.

Earlier today, a large number of home-made military drones have paraded at a ceremony held by the Iranian Army in Tehran in the presence of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on the anniversary of Iran's National Army Day.

The drones put on display in the parade included Mohajer-6, Mohajer-4, Mohajer-2, Raad-85, Arash, Ababil-4, Yasir, Karrar, Naser, Kian-1, Kian-2, Omid, Kaman-12, Kaman-22, Ababil-5, and Sadeq.
