Amirabdollahian extended his congratulation to Erdogan in a telephone conversation held with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Thursday.
During the phone call, the Iranian top diplomat expressed hope that the new government in Turkiye would continue efforts to boost cooperation with Iran.
For his part, the Çavuşoğlu said his country attaches great importance to relations with Iran.
