Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made the remarks addressing a meeting with a group of students on the occasion of Student Day in Iran which coincides with November 4, 2022.
Aban 13th is a historic day, meaning that there were events on this day that will remain in history, these events cannot be and should not be forgotten.
Aban13th is a day full of experience since there have been reactions to these incidents that are lessons for us, for the future of the country, for the future of your life, and for the future of your nation.
Supreme Leader urged the students to take advantage of these experiences.
** Joint statement by Iranian Ministry of Intelligence & IRGC intelligence agency
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted the role of the US government in the recent unrest in Iran.
The Supreme Leader cited a joint statement by the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and the IRGC intelligence agency which said that the enemy had plots for Tehran and other Iranian major or small cities.
Referring to the presence of Iranian teens and youngsters in the unrests, the Leader said that, “these are our own children…who came to the streets due to excitement and feelings and some negligence [by the officials] in the issues.”
Ayatollah Khamenei, however, stressed the role of the “main stage managers” who entered the scene with a pre-designed plan.
The Leader said that the Iranian nation hit them on their mouth and will do so in the future.
** Renewal of Iran’s promise to retaliate the assassination of General Soleymani
Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to the US assassination of Iranian national hero General Qassem Soleimani in early 2020 and said that they take pride of this crime which is another sign of their wickedness.
The Supreme Leader also condemned the US government for backing the Zionist assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists as well as the blockage of billions of dollars of Iranian assets in the US and elsewhere.
Noting that the US footstep is evident in most of the anti-Iranian incidents, Ayatollah Khamenei said that the Iranian nation has successfully defused many of these plots.
The Supreme Leader said that “of course, we have never forgotten some incidents and will never forget them.”
The Leader tacitly referred to Iran’s vow to take revenge of General Soleymani’s assassination, and said: “Regarding Soleimani's martyrdom, we stand by what we have said and it will be acted upon in the proper time.”
**Signs of US fall
Ayatollah Khamenei said that US miscalculations about different world issues, including their invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, are a sign of US fall.
The Americans sought to put US people or their agents in charge of affairs in Iraq, the Supreme Leader said, adding that the current situation in Iraq and the presence of Iraqi politicians in power was not what they were looking for.
Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to the US defeat in Syria and Lebanon, particularly in the recent issue of setting gas lines, as another example of US miscalculations.
The Leader said that another sign of US fall was the people’s vote for the incumbent and the previous presidents of the country.
“In the previous period, a president like Trump was elected, who was considered by everyone as crazy, and in the current period, a president comes to power who everyone knows about his condition.”
** Jihad of elaboration
Referring to the recent terrorist attack in Shah Cheragh in Shiraz which killed innocent people, as well as the riots in Tehran which cause some martyrs including Martyr Arman, Ayatollah Khamenei vowed that the perpetrators should be identified and punished.
Referring to the silence of the so-called supports of the human right in the world when it comes to the incidents in Iran, he asked, “Why haven’t the claimants condemned the Shiraz attack, and why do they repeat an unreal and false case thousands of times on their platforms on the Internet, but they prohibit the name Arsham?”
“Are the claimants real supporter of human rights?,” he further asked.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei called for strengthening content production for media, “Jihad of elaboration” and planning for confronting foes who are sensitive to certain words and names in this field.
He noted that media and communications officials should be responsible for the youth in society, and try to discern the truth and the right word from the lie.
Calling the recent event of the last few weeks as “hybrid war”, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted that the enemy is the US, the Zionist Regime, some European powers as well as groups who came to the battlefield with all means, using intelligence, media, and cyberspace capacities, and using the past experiences in Iran and some other countries try to strike a blow at the Iranians.
