Iran calls for preventing dispatch of arms from US bases to occupied lands

Iran’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri has stressed the need for all regional countries to prevent the dispatch of arms and other equipment from the US bases in the region to the occupied lands.

General Bagheri made the remarks in separate phone conversations with Qatari Minister of Defense Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah and Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu.

Speaking with the Russian side, the Iranian general said that the operation by the Palestinian resistance groups was carried out within the framework of the legitimate right to defense and fight against occupation. He also noted that this operation was a result of over 70 years of Zionist suppression and crimes against its people and the recent cruel insult of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He noted that the aggressions of the Zionist regime will not be tolerated and the independent states must react seriously.

The Russian side, for his part, referred to his country’s support for the establishment of a ceasefire and preventing more damage to civilians.

In his conversation with the Qatari defense minister, the Iranian general said that these crimes leave no room for the silence of the Muslim nations.

With the continuation of these brutalities, there is the possibility of any reaction by the resistance groups, Bagheri said.

He also underlined the need for all the regional countries to prevent the dispatch of arms and other equipment from US bases in the region to the occupied lands.
