SCO lowers flags to half-mast in respect for victims of Iran attack

In a gesture of respect for the victims of the terrorist attack in Kerman, the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Beijing has lowered the organization’s flag and those of its members to half-mast.

“In respect for the martyrs and victims of the bitter terrorist incident targeting the pilgrims of the Martyrs Cemetery in Kerman and Hajj Qassem Soleimani, the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing has lowered the organization's flag and the flags of its members to half-mast,” the Iranian Embassy in China posted on X.

At least 84 people were killed and 284 injured on Wednesday when two bomb blasts went off ten minutes apart near the burial site of Iran’s top commander General Qassem Soleimani in Kerman, where a large crowd of people had gathered to mark his fourth martyrdom anniversary.
